Who Are We?

by Dennis Perry on September 25, 2011

I often say that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.  I firmly believe that we have the ability to connect with the energy of the universe and, through those connections, accomplish great things in our lives.

Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is a lecturer, neuroanatomist, and brain researcher.  She had the very unique opportunity to study what happens during a stroke from the inside.  She suffered a massive, hemorrhagic stroke and was able to observe first-hand the amazing difference between the right brain and the left brain.

Below is a link to a video where she describes that event and the lessons she learned.  It is a bit long at just over 20 minutes but the message is powerful.

I invite you to grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, and spend the next 20 minutes listening to Dr. Taylor describe her experience.  I believe it will help you find you own answer to the question, “Who am I?”

Make this a great day and make your life truly rich in every way!

This is a great video! After I first saw it last year, I immediately went out and bought her book “My Stroke Of Insight” which everyone should have a copy of in their personal library.

Very interesting and powerful. Who am I is something we all eventually come to ask. The answer is tougher to get at!

I have to admit that when I see a 20 minute video on a blog…well I might just might be tempted to skim through it…
I watched every second of Dr. Jill Boyle Taylor’s story and was truly amazed by her experience and loved how she clearly described the left and right brain. It is something I try to describe to my clients on a daily basis but to hear it done scientifically and so articulately was a pleasure to hear and will help me in the future.

Thank you for bringing her story to my attention
